Electronic Systems Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for an Electronic Systems Engineer!

The company we are recruiting for is specializing in electric mobility for aerospace and is working on enabling clean flight through the development of electrified propulsion. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and integration of Powertrain equipment for a hybrid propulsion system for aerospace. The role will include liaising with external suppliers/customers, attending exhibitions/conferences.

The Electronic Systems Engineer will:

• Design and deliver robust and reliable electronic hardware system designs.
• Lead physical testing and prototype evaluation of electronic hardware.
• Work within a group to capture design requirements and integration requirements for other systems, including aerothermal and structural integration.
• Provide support for testing and troubleshooting where relevant.
• Propose research and development for future Powertrain design.
• Oversee the procurement process on software and hardware for electrical integration.
• Manage the integration of hardware and software into prototype Powertrain.
• Document and report progress.
• Lead assessment of opportunities in fuel cell incorporation.

The Electronic Systems Engineer will have:

• An undergraduate degree in an engineering field with previous experience and detailed knowledge in power management for electrical systems.
• Previous experience in the Aerospace or Automotive sectors.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to create and conduct presentations and reports.
• Great time management and planning skills.
• Basic understanding of fuel cell and battery operation.
• Experience in system level architecture design for power management.
• Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
