A leader in electrified HGV technology is currently seeking an Electronics Hardware Engineer to design PCB and Microcontroller Hardware systems, processes, methodologies as well as component and vehicle design to enhance the overall vehicle performance. This role will involve transforming concepts into prototypes for HIL testing, validating and improvement with the end goal of mass volume production.

Electronics Hardware Engineer Duties:

• Analyses the design proposals and the technical information in order to identify the issues arising during the development, defining and implementing adequate solutions in order to reach a feasible proposal with a high form and aesthetic quality.
• Plan multiple projects simultaneously while to capturing and specifying the Hardware design requirements and costs.
• Estimate, track, review and complete projects on time and within budget while analysing design related issues to identify root cause.
• Produce design ideas, based on research, into technical plans for prototypes using computer-aided PCB design software (Altium).
• Carry out simulations of products for new and prototype projects using in-house software for the customer and modify designs based on the analysis.
• Contribute to the control of Bill of Materials (BoM), CAD Models and Engineering Drawings.

The Successful Electronics Hardware Engineer Will Have:

• A relevant university degree is essential – preferably in Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
• Prior experience in a role involving Electronic Systems Hardware design is essential – preferably within automotive electrification.  
• Knowledge of ISO26262 or IEC62508.
• And good understanding of EMS is desirable.
• A knowledge of Altium design software is highly desirable.
